Are you so taken with an animal, a plant, or even an exhibit at our institute that you'd like to become a sponsor? No problem! Whether it's a lively mudskipper, a magnificently blooming lobster claw, or the impressive fossilized pearl natterjack: you'll find it here! By becoming a sponsor, you demonstrate your commitment to the Aquazoo Löbbecke Museum and provide long-term support. Your donation supports the care of our animals and plants as well as the maintenance of our extensive collection.
Sponsorships start at 75 euros per year.

Due to cost increases in many areas, some sponsorship fees had to be adjusted as of March 2025 in order to continue to work at the usual high quality. Species that experienced significantly increased feed and energy costs or increased care requirements have been upgraded accordingly. For ongoing sponsorships, the new prices will only take effect upon a possible renewal. Our team is happy to answer any questions you may have.

Penguin sponsorships in South Africa
Currently, all penguins at our Aquazoo are sponsored. Penguins, including chicks and eggs, that urgently need a sponsor can be found on the English-language website of SANCCOB, a non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation of seabirds in South Africa, which, among other things, operates a care, breeding, and release center for African penguins. The Aquazoo Löbbecke Museum has also supported SANCCOB for many years.

Our Friends' Association was founded on November 13, 1980, with the goal of providing moral and material support to the Aquazoo Löbbecke Museum. The association's purpose is also to promote zoological science, human-animal interaction, and nature and species conservation. The Friends' Association also aims to increase natural history education and foster a love of animals and nature among people, especially young people. Your financial support in the form of membership fees or donations helps us achieve these goals!
